UDA Technologies has expanded Green Initiatives throughout 2009 and 2010 with a comprehensive strategy of new software and hardware product offerings, improved internal standards, and web-based services designed to minimize costs, improve speed and efficiency, and reduce project impacts.
For software products, ConstructionSuite Green was the industry's first Green project management system. Designed to help plan, bid, and manage projects that are both environmentally friendly and save clients money, ConstructionSuite Green includes the latest LEED, Energy Star, and National Green Building standards along with integrated RSMeans cost data, green building specifications and workflows. ConstructionSuite 2010 Green continues to set the standard for the industry with updated content and direct integration with ConstructionOnline, the next generation of environmentally friendly and efficiency tools for project collaboration.
From a hardware side, UDA Envoy and UDA Echo are designed with UDA's continuing commitment to develop products with the environment in mind. For example, the brushed aluminum alloy shell is made from 100% recycled materials. Both Envoy and Echo are also fully RoHS compliant and do not contain lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). Less truly is more.
Internally, UDA has significantly increased research and development funding to include a greater percentage of green product offerings and has prioritized internal initiatives to lessen the environmental impact of product packaging, learning resources, and marketing materials.
ConstructionOnline, a new web-based service, connects your project teams from any computer with an internet connection. Designed to take the inefficiency out of construction, ConstructionOnline lets your subcontractors, coworkers, clients, and others share plans, project documents, change orders, estimates, schedules, photos and more, all without having to print documents or correspondence, creating savings for both you and the environment.
"Our commitment to building a better world includes improving our own expectations for providing products and services that are not only green but provide the tools for construction professionals worldwide to plan, bid, and manage buildings that set the standard for innovative, sustainable, green structures." said Michael Stevens, President of UDA Technologies.
"As a strong supporter of Earth Day and protecting our natural resorces for generations to come, UDA Technologies is proud to do our part to build a better world," said Stevens.
